Read the short version of our Code of Conduct 🏔️ Research integrity is a crucial part of the ICEBERG project. With sixteen partner organizations coming from different disciplines and backgrounds, a mutual set of principles can strengthen collaborations and efficiency. 🤝 ➡️ The ICEBERG Code of Conduct is a values-based document that defines how research is conducted in the project. ICEBERG’s Code of Conduct builds on four concepts: fairness, respect, care and honesty. We have now produced a short version of our Code of Conduct. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 are such apt descriptions for our recent Arctic fieldwork experience. Luisa Lollio does a great job of journalling the Arctic ICEBERG team's activities and community engagement in the post below 👇 Check it out to learn more about how the project collaborates with Indigenous and local communities to tackle #climatechange and #pollution in the #Arctic
“These weeks have been intense and inspiring for all of us.” ✏️ Luisa Lollio sums up the first fieldwork period in Iceland and Kalaallit Nunaat in the last update of her blog article. Read more from the blog post 👇 https://lnkd.in/d-jafx-Y #HorizonEU

Greetings from Svalbard! 🏔️ Our amazing scientists from Institute of Polar Sciences of the Italian National Research Council, Francesca Battaglia, and Gianmarco Ingrosso have been hard at work in the fjords of Kongsfjorden and Krossfjorden, collecting sediment samples. ⛴️ The goal? To uncover the extent of pollution like organic chemicals and microplastics in the Arctic. These samples not only help us identify pollutants but also reveal when and how they reached this fragile environment. 🌍 #ArcticResearch #PolarScience #EnvironmentalProtection #Microplastics #PollutionAwareness

What an experience in Qaqortoq 🇬🇱for SciDrones P.C. Spinoff !!!! We realised test flights as part of the Arctic ICEBERG fieldwork. We have an amazing training session with students from Campus kujalleq on drone-based marine litter mapping. So proud to be contributing to such meaningful scientific work in this stunning part of the world! 🌍 🇬🇱🇬🇱🧊❄️ Big thanks to Geography teacher Jarl Rolighed Larsen and the entire ICEBERG field trip team for making this possible. #ArcticResearch #Qaqortoq #DataScience #Greenland

Greetings from Kalaallit Nunaat! 🏔️ ✏️ In an updating article, ICEBERG project member Luisa Lollio reports straight from the field. In her third update, Luisa discusses two consultation meetings in Kalaallit Nunaat. ➡️ In Narsaq, a uranium mine, air pollution and changes in the behavior and number of sea mammals raised concern. ➡️In Qaqortoq, people learned how to fly drones and use cameras for community monitoring of pollution.
