Since 1972, ASRC has grown our operations from three businesses in Utqiaġvik to five operating segments with a footprint in all 50 states. Through our operations, ASRC is proud to act as an economic engine for Alaska and our region. In ASRC’s 52-year history, our commitment to our Iñupiaq shareholders has remained unwavering. Today, we remember Dr. Jacob Anaġi Adams Sr. and honor his legacy as a longtime leader of ASRC. Dr. Adams was instrumental in the formation of ASRC, and his strategic foresight set the Corporation on a path of long-term success. Dr. Adams oversaw a period of dramatic growth during his tenure as president and CEO from 1983 until 2006. His impact on ASRC will be felt for generations to come.

ASRC stands with all Americans as we remember one of the darkest days in our country’s history and honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Across the entire ASRC family of companies, quyanaqpak to our over 16,000 employees for their hard work and dedication to ASRC’s mission. We wish you a safe and happy Labor Day! The ASRC Corporate offices, VRR offices, and Stock Department will be closed on Monday, September 2 and will reopen on Tuesday, September 3.

This week, Arctic Slope Regional Corporation completed another successful Finance Workshop where leaders from across the ASRC family of companies discussed past performance and progress, priorities for the coming year, and strategic plans for 2025 and beyond. ASRC kicked off this year’s Finance Workshop with a safety moment from Winnipeg Jets scout, Brian Renfrew, who spoke about the importance of prioritizing personal health to enjoy a rewarding career.   The team heard from ASRC President and CEO, Rex A. Rock Sr. and from ASRC Executive Vice President and COO, Butch Lincoln, on the Corporation's approach to achieving its goals. June 22nd marks ASRC’s 52nd Incorporation Anniversary! One of the 12 Alaska Native regional corporations, ASRC was created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) of 1971 following years of legal battles over our ancestral lands. ASRC was the only Alaska Native corporation to vote against ANCSA when the final version was presented to the Alaska Native Federation in 1971. Despite their opposition, the legislation passed, and our early leaders abided by the terms of the law and began building the foundation of ASRC. Today, we have grown from nearly 3,800 original shareholders to over 14,000 shareholders. The decisions made by our early leaders set ASRC on a course of success that continues to today. By remaining committed to our Iñupiaq values, ASRC can continue achieving new heights.
