We are proud to reaffirm our commitment to space security and European cooperation through our active participation in the large-scale military excercise #AsterX, led by the French Space Command. 🇪🇺 For the fifth consecutive year, our #SpaceSurveillance service Helix plays a key role. Europe’s largest private telescope network, #Helix operates 25 stations worldwide. Covering all orbits day and night 24/7, it delivers precise positioning and orbit tracking data and analysis of objects in space – critical capabilities in a world where military operations increasingly depend on satellite infrastructure. The #AsterX2025 exercise unfolds in two phases from 17–28 March: 🔹 National response: strengthening France’s ability to respond to specific threats. 🔹 #EuropeanCooperation: strengthening joint defence efforts in a contested space environment. The scenario covers 18 space events, simulates 4,000 objects in all orbits and addresses 10 different types of threats – a challenging test of space-based operational support. Conducted at the CNES (French space agency) site in Toulouse, the exercise involves 170 participants from 12 countries worldwide, civil and military organisations and industry partners. We are honoured to contribute once again and to be a trusted partner of the Commandement de l'Espace. ➡️ Learn more about our Helix® space surveillance service: https://lnkd.in/er_ZWm4H #SpaceSecurity #EuropeanCooperation #SSA #RocketMakers #DefenceIndustry ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab | Agenium | Safran | Crisotech by ChapsVision | Exotrail | DeliaStrat / Holograph | Look Up | MBDA

We were honored on Monday to welcome Stephan Steinlein, German Ambassador to France, and Stefanie Zeidler, Germany’s Consul General in Bordeaux, to our Issac site in south-west France. Their visit, at such a strategic time for Europe, underscored the importance of cooperation in defence and space. 🇪🇺🚀 They were received by Vincent Pery, ArianeGroup’s Defence Programmes Director, and Thomas Tschirner, ArianeGroup’s Head of Defence Programmes Germany, and given a demonstration of our #RocketMakers’ unique skills and know-how. From space situational awareness (SSA), with our multi-station observation network Helix for 24/7 orbit monitoring, to the development of hypersonic systems and deep precision strike capability, ArianeGroup’s solutions cover the entire space/ballistic warfare continuum. As a Franco–German company, ArianeGroup plays a critical role in ensuring Europe’s sovereignty through autonomy in space and independent defence capabilities. #SpaceIndustry #WorkInSpace #EuropeanCooperation #Defence #DefenceIndustry

Relive the fabuluous #VA263 journey – the first commercial flight of #Ariane6! 🚀✨ Ariane 6, operated by ARIANESPACE, blasted off on 6 March 2025 to place the CSO-3 observation satellite into orbit at 800 km altitude where it will provide continuous Earth monitoring for defence and security purposes. 🌍🛰️ In the mission, Ariane 6’s Vinci upper stage engine ignited three times: firstly to separate the upper stage from the main stage, then to manage precise orbital insertion of the payload, and finally to de-orbit the upper stage in a controlled re-entry into the Earth’s atmosphere where it burnt up to prevent space debris. We can’t get enough of these spectacular views – congratulations to all the teams involved! 🤩🚀 DGA - Direction générale de l'armement | Commandement de l'Espace | Ministère de la Défense | European Space Agency - ESA | Centre National d'Études Spatiales | Airbus Defence and Space | Thales Alenia Space #SpaceIndustry #RocketMakers #WorkInSpace

Congratulations to all participants of the German CanSat competition 2025! 🎉 For the 11th time, teams of schoolchildren from all over Germany launched their ‘satellites’, mini payloads the size of drink cans, to an altitude of around 700 metres using a model rocket. Their goal: to collect scientific and technological data for unique missions. 🏆 Team AERO from Vaihingen an der Enz, Baden-Württemberg, were the competition winners, impressing the jury with their technical excellence and a flawless presentation. Their mission? Testing a new method for measuring air pollution based on assessment of particulate matter and volatile organic compounds. 🚀 At ArianeGroup, we’re committed to inspiring future space innovators and #RocketMakers. We’ve proudly supported CanSat Germany for over a decade and this year once again we hosted the final launch day at our Bremen site, where participants were given a tour of our facilities before the awards ceremony. CanSat is coordinated by ESERO Germany, the German education office of the European Space Agency - ESA, and co-organised by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and national and local partners. We wish team AERO the very best luck as they go into the next round of the CanSat competition! #WorkInSpace #CanSat2025 #STEM
