The ranking was awarded following a comprehensive analysis of data from 500 U.S. companies, with AWI representing one of only three building products companies to make the list. “We believe that sustainable practices are integral to our business strategy and essential for the future of our planet. The honor comes after AWI launched several innovative products aimed at making buildings more sustainable, including Templok Energy Saving Ceilings and Ultima Low Embodied Carbon ceiling panels. These products contribute to our continued efforts of carbon reduction in our products and as solutions for our customers.  Additionally, AWI’s 2024 Sustainability Report, driven by Sustainability Director Kelsey Herring, highlights key initiatives and progress at AWI, including reducing company-generated carbon emissions, increasing sourcing of renewable energy, eliminating chemicals of concern from AWI’s full product portfolio and the ongoing ceiling recycling program that has diverted almost 220 million square feet of ceiling tiles from landfill. Today, we hosted an engaging discussion focused on the future of K-12 education and the critical role of school infrastructure. Led by AWI’s Americas SVP, Mark Hershey, we welcomed an expert panel featuring: Anisa Heming - Director, Center for Green Schools, U.S. Green Building Council Leslie Larocque- Senior Vice President, McKinstry  Dr. Joseph Allen - Director, Healthy Buildings Program, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health   The conversation focused on how we can improve school buildings to enhance student learning and promote equity. Our panelists shared valuable insights on creating healthier, more supportive environments that address the diverse needs of all students and strategies for budget-efficient modernization of school facilities.
