This month, Mohawk sponsored the first recipients of the Latin American Association – Mohawk Scholarship Program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC), awarding the scholarship to six outstanding students within the Northwest Georgia Community. The scholarships were awarded based on need and merit to exceptional students who are actively involved in the Hispanic community through heritage, community participation, volunteerism and more. We are so proud to be able to help sponsor this scholarship. Congratulations to each recipient; we can't wait to see what you do next! 🙌

Check out our latest Work-Based Learning feature showcasing students from our High School Program at Antioch Distribution in Dalton, GA! 👋 Corbin (right) is a North Murray High School student in Chatsworth, GA. He works in the Shipping Department, helping handle inbound freight and outbound material as a new Lift Truck Operator. His supervisor shared that he has already learned so much and always asks the right questions when tasked with a new assignment. Corbin works alongside Alejandro, a student from Dalton High School in Dalton, GA. Together, they are learning the ins and outs of how a distribution facility operates! 🦺 The Antioch team is grateful to be able to provide opportunities for students starting their careers in different work environments. Mohawk is excited to partner with local schools for WBL roles, offering students opportunities to grow as they finish school and plan for their future! ⚙️

Throughout the years, our team has supported Susan G. Komen at each of their 3-Day events! Thank you to our team members and partners across the U.S. who contributed to the success of each walk! Last year, we donated over 6,150 SmartCushion pads to #CushionTheFight for walkers and crew members! We've also raised funds through our Decorate for the Cure program on the Residential Flooring side and Specify for a Cure program on the Commercial side, where proceeds from the sales of eligible flooring products help the nonprofit carry out its mission. Mohawk recently provided funding for 90 LifeVac kits to equip the City of Dalton, Georgia's Police Department with this simple, life-saving tool! LifeVac is a noninvasive, nonpowered, portable ACD (Airway Clearance Device) used to remove an object from a victim's airway when choking.   We are grateful for the opportunity to provide these tools for our officers and community!

"In 2024, I completed two internships at Mohawk before being hired full-time in August. Both internships have been integral to the effectiveness of my current role as an ASPIRE Associate! My spring internship at the Resilient Facility in Dalton, GA, allowed me to hit the ground running. Under the guidance of the Resilient Safety Director, this experience gave me the business knowledge that I needed for the near future. During the summer, I was able to enlarge my scope from the business unit field of view to the Corporate FNA group at our MFC facility in Calhoun, GA. This change allowed me to apply the knowledge gained with my school's coursework in a practical application. With coaching from the Corporate Safety Manager and mentoring from the Senior Safety Director, that application has brought current value to Mohawk and will bring further value in the near future. As a pragmatic person, that brings a smile to my face! Both internships have helped me grow my career. Thanks to our Talent Acquisition team for hosting the Gordon County Youth Leadership group for an industry tour at our corporate campus a few weeks ago. As one of the largest employers in the Calhoun/Gordon County community, it's an honor to host and show students the opportunities within our industry and their backyard. Thank you to our team members who participated in the tour and shared their Mohawk experience! 👏

Shout out to our Sustainability and Commercial Product Development teams! Last Friday, they helped the City of Refuge in Dalton, GA, set up their annual Christmas event by sorting, categorizing, and building displays for hundreds of toys for local children to select a gift. This event allows families to celebrate together with a festive meal, gifts for the whole family, and a special visit from Santa! Thank you for giving back to our local community! 🫶
