🎯 The approval of drugs with a new “target” or mechanism of action is a measure of 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in a certain disease area. 💊 In 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀, a disease affecting more than 190 million women worldwide, the last drug with a novel target was approved by the FDA 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟯𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼 - in January 1989, before the fall of the Berlin wall. 💡 In our new 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿, we analyze the reasons behind this sobering statistic.
