The new and improved MassTalent online job platform is now live! I had the pleasure of joining Massachusetts Labor and Workforce Development Secretary Lauren Jones, National Grid New England President Lisa Wieland, and Associated Industries of Massachusetts President and CEO Brooke M. Thomson yesterday at National Grid in Waltham to celebrate the platform’s official launch. Before the announcement, we heard from participants of National Grid’s Clean Energy Academy. Clean energy workers, including the young people I spoke with yesterday, are going to be among the heroes of the energy transformation. That’s why our team at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center is thrilled that #cleanenergy is one of five key sectors highlighted on the revamped MassTalent website. The faster we build the clean energy workforce, the faster we install heat pumps, add solar panels to roofs, weatherize our homes, and implement other climate solutions. Congratulations to Secretary Jones, The Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD), and all who brought this enhanced MassTalent to fruition! Congratulations to the Healey-Driscoll Administration and to Secretary Lauren Jones on the launch of the MassTalent platform at National Grid yesterday. The 3,400 member companies of Associated Industries of Massachusetts know that employers need skilled workers and job seekers need work. The problem is, how do we connect the two? That’s where MassTalent comes in by allowing jobseekers to browse open positions or enroll in a training programs while employers in targeted industries can find highly skilled, qualified workers and build a sustainable pipeline of employees. At AIM we believe in the power of business to create a better tomorrow and a more prosperous and thriving Massachusetts for all. MassTalent represents a practical and positive way to make that happen. A huge shout out to National Grid, our host for the announcement. As a result of Lisa Wieland’s leadership and the direction of Amanda C. Downey, LLM, JD, MBA, National Grid is walking the walk in this area, through their Clean Energy Academies. This initiative leverages strategic partnerships and collaborations and includes higher and secondary education institutions and community-based organizations serving historically underrepresented and marginalized groups and communities. Please check out the MassTalent site to find the talent you need to grow your business: https://lnkd.in/em-i9Z8V #mapoli #aimhigh #workforce #masstalent 📋👷👩🏽💼💻

🌐 "Government cannot drive the economy on its own—it is the private sector, your businesses, that truly generate the jobs, growth, and innovation that define Massachusetts," said House Ways and Means Chair Aaron Michlewitz at AIM’s Commonwealth Conversation. Speaking to 150 business leaders, Michlewitz emphasized the need for a partnership between the legislature and the business community to keep Massachusetts competitive and thriving. The House’s mission? Align policies that support growth and strengthen our economy on the national and global stage.
