We wanted to say what we knew many in the audience would be feeling and thinking. Infact, have been feeling and thinking. Safety professionals are one of the most passionate group of individuals I've been privileged to work with. I have great friends who are safety professionals. They're pretty much like therapists! Always thinking and tending to their clients (employees they serve). That means most of the time, they're not thinking about themselves. Angela Ray, MBA CSP,SMS helped lay the foundation for this keynote and to say she delivered, is an understatement! Thank you again ASSP Region IV for entrusting me with delivering this message of mental health and wellness to your participants. ASSP Region IV PDC Professional development is key to having success in your career. If you’re going to do it.. have fun with it. And “fun” is what the conference was. Great job Region IV. I moderated for the first time and was lucky for it to be for Chris McGlynn, MS, CSP who had a fabulous presentation on “Confined Spaces Fatalities Don’t Become a Statistic.”

Wow.. just wow. What an incredible performance and powerful message on the hard topic of mental safety and health by Georgia A. Bryce-Hutchinson, LMFT, Mental Health Consultant and Angela Ray, MBA CSP,SMS at the ASSP Region IV professional development conference. I filled a notebook and ran the ink out of a vendor pen taking notes.
