Jessi Miley-Dyer is a surfing superstar and a champion of gender equality.   As a strong advocate for equal pay and opportunities in surfing, she played a pivotal role in the 2019 decision to award equal prize money to both men and women.   “It's something I'm way more proud of than anything I've ever had for myself. Last night we honoured seven Australians making an impact in the US. From sports and science to business and innovation, our Annual Australia Day Awards Gala celebrated the leaders strengthening US-Australia ties. Our annual Australia Day Awards Gala is a celebration of Australians kicking goals here in the United States. This year, we’re honouring Aussie legend Greg Norman and other Aussies who have made a significant contribution to the Australia-US relationship. Greg Norman AO will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award, with a special musical performance by the accomplished Morgan Evans.
