To understand why the edge must be intelligent, we can break down the elements of this transformation and its broad-reaching implications across industries. AI workloads are currently an 80:20 split of learning: inference, and that is expected to flip to 20:80 in a few years - with much of that inference being processed at the edge. #Deepseek has shown that we can do more with less processing and consequently less power.
