Co-hosted by the Suriname-Guyana Chamber of Commerce (SGCC) and the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA), the event serves as a platform for regional collaboration. President Ali emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties with Suriname, focusing on integrating energy infrastructure and removing trade barriers to create a robust logistics loop that connects key markets. He highlighted the potential for partnerships with northern Brazil in agro-processing and food security, positioning Guyana as a leader in tomorrow’s economy. 𝐈𝐧 𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭, President Ali opened the floor to stakeholders, encouraging direct dialogue about the country’s policies and economic outlook, including insights on policy interventions and addressing critical gaps in infrastructure, technology, and human potential. The IBC, attended by over 500 delegates and featuring more than 100 speakers, will focus on facilitating international investment in sectors such as energy, logistics, and agriculture.
