Last week, we brought together over 25 of our CEOs from across the U.S. in New York City for our inaugural CEO Summit. The event featured interactive, workshop-style sessions focused on key areas of founder support, including:   - A fireside chat with Former CEO of Carlyle, David Rubenstein, where he shared insights on leadership and building enduring companies - A session with BCG Chair, Rich Lesser, on Elevating to an Enterprise Mindset and guiding founders to become great CEOs - A discussion between serial founder Marc Lore and BCG MDP Vikas Taneja on critical operational priorities for founders, such as hiring a CPO and pivoting quickly - Corporate M&A advice from industry leaders, including Rohit Dave (Block), Scott Levine (Amazon), and Sandra A. (BCG)   Throughout the sessions, founders engaged in meaningful discussions, asking direct questions about tackling their day-to-day challenges. Last week, B Capital hosted nearly 200 of our partners, investors and portfolio company founders at Peak in New York City. It was an exciting day filled with conversations about the future of the firm, our portfolio and the broader industry, all under this year’s theme: The Next Frontiers of Innovation. Throughout the day, we explored a range of pioneering topics that are shaping the future, including: - The development of space-based energy grids - Breakthroughs in humanoid robotics - Leveraging AI and satellite imagery to prevent wildfires - Scenario planning and adopting a “longpath” perspective for long-term success - How companies can stay resilient in constantly changing global markets and economic landscapes While the day was filled with exciting discussions on innovation and growth, what made the event truly special was the opportunity to connect in person with so many brilliant partners and friends. The discussions throughout the week focused on the evolution to 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 3.0, where commercialization and scalability are the driving forces behind climate tech investing. Building on the lessons learned from Clean Tech 1.0 and Climate Tech 2.0, the focus has moved toward ensuring that breakthrough innovations are not only technically successful but also capable of making a tangible difference in real-world markets.
