Today Marubeni Corporation and Vietnamese EV manufacturer VINFAST announced a deal to demonstrate second-life EV batteries in stationary storage using B2U’s proprietary EPS technology. VinFast’s EV batteries will be paired with our EPS technology to demonstrate a second-life storage model that enables reuse without dismantling, testing, or repackaging batteries. By showcasing a scalable, affordable method for deploying EV batteries in battery energy storage systems, Marubeni, VinFast and B2U will also explore opportunities to create a circular economy model for the EV industry.
