Attended the ACEC Water Forum last Friday with Carl Bain and Lori Dullnig-Warlen, PE. So much great information from SARA and SAWS on such topics as The State of Water in the San Antonio Region, the Impact of Population Growth on Water Supply, Utility Resiliency, Meeting Local Government Goals, Basin Water Quality, and Engineering Workforce Challenges followed a great networking event where we had the chance to see old friends and make new ones! Thank you, Naomi Miller and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) San Antonio for hosting this event. Looking forward to 2025!

Yesterday, the BMB team attended the San Antonio Mobility Coalition, Inc. (SAMCo) State of the District event with TxDOT 2024, where we gained valuable insights into the future of transportation. We had the opportunity to hear opening remarks from Judge Peter Sakai of Bexar County and listen to a thoughtful Q&A with Charles Benavidez, PE. A special thank you to Texas Transportation Commission Chairman J. Bruce Bugg Jr. for his leadership and for sharing his vision on TxDOT's impact across Texas and right here in San Antonio. Planning for the TSPE Bexar Chapter's 2025 E-Week officially began with our kick-off meeting at The Barn Door Restaurant last night. I am pleased to continue to serve as the Chair for 2025 celebrating all things engineering. The 2025 E-Week team and I are honored to plan and carry out seven (maybe eight 😮 ) events over six days to celebrate our engineering professionals and their accomplishments each year during E-Week. With you, our industry partners, E-Week will continue to provide scholarships for TSPE Bexar Chapter, SEAoT, and ASCE. Through scholarships, we are ensuring the future of engineering in San Antonio. Visit our website at www.e-week.org to stay tuned for special announcements and the opening of sponsorship and event sales in October.
