  • BCRI is #feelingexcited after the exit conference for its most recent CARF site survey for new children & adolescent services.    Notably, CARF provided zero quality improvement recommendations, a feat achieved by only around 3% of all of CARF's 60,000+ sites. What's more, the surveyors provided glowing feedback as a result of their survey experience:    💡BCRI has experienced employees who take on leadership roles and foster a collaborative work environment and a culture of development, growth, community, and belonging. 💡BCRI recognizes & prioritizes the need to build meaningful relationships and create a supportive culture. 💡Health & safety of personnel is high priority & facilities are neat, clean, and well-established. 💡Community stakeholders & funders are very satisfied by BCRI services, and praised BCRI for flexibility, cooperativeness, and integrity. 💡There is a strong sense of commitment and dedication to BCRI's service recipients, stakeholder, and staff. 💡BCRI has a talented team of committed administrators, managers, and staff with robust experience to transition to new services that allow them to treat vulnerable individuals and families where they are in the community.    Great job BCRI team!  #bcri #crisisservices #behavioralhealth #community

  • BCRI is deeply honored to have been the recipient of the Latino Providers Network of MD's 2024 President’s Award.    Presented at this week’s LPN Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, this distinction recognizes BCRI’s assistance and support provided to the families affected by the Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapse.     Within hours of the event, BCRI staff joined other providers and partners to connect affected community members to resources and coordinate follow-up services. Pictured below is Quinita Garrett, BCRI’s Director of Call Center & System Coordination, who helped spearhead BCRI’s immediate response.    Our hearts are with those lost in the Key Bridge tragedy as well as those who continue to feel the lasting impacts of the event. BCRI is forever grateful for its ability to provide crisis services and supports when our communities need it the most.    #support #community #crisisservices #bcri

I'm excited to announce that I've been appointed as the behavioral health representative for the Maryland Emergency Department Wait Time Reduction Commission. The Commission's goal is to tackle the various factors in the healthcare system that lead to longer wait times in emergency departments. It will report to the Governor and General Assembly annually, providing updates on its activities, findings, and the progress of the recommended programs aimed at reducing emergency department wait times. Maryland has some of the best hospitals in the world. Let's make them even better! I'm honored to be part of this initiative!
