  • Continuing our celebration of #WomensHistoryMonth, we’re excited to recognize one of our inspiring hospital leaders and veterinary technicians, Dina Zamarripa, LVT. Not only is Dina one of our rockstar vet techs (VTs) who helps more pets get access to the veterinary care they need, she’s dedicated to coaching and creating more opportunities for her fellow VTs. Since she joined Banfield 14 years ago as a VT, Dina became a practice manager in 2022 and now mentors eight VTs across two locations. She’s built a culture where Associates are eager and able to grow their careers to serve more pets and clients – a success she credits to her own mentors who empowered her to develop into leadership as a woman in vet med. She shared, “I’ve had two amazing female field directors. Their leadership has inspired me to make and reach bigger goals within Banfield. I want to be able to also inspire others with my story so they say, ‘I can do that also!’ Because the journey of learning and development is truly endless here.” We’re excited to see where Dina sets her sights next and how her enthusiasm, empathy, and expertise continue to lift up the pets and people she meets! #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldCareers #VeterinaryMedicine #Mentorship

  • Big news for the future of veterinary medicine! 📢 Banfield is investing to support the next generation of veterinarians by covering final year tuition for 2025 DVM graduates joining full-time. This initiative is beyond providing financial relief— by lowering barriers, we’re building a stronger pipeline of new doctors and making it easier for them to focus on what matters: their education, passion, and impactful futures in #VetMed. Our goal is to help veterinarians — and their teams — to thrive, helping ensure the future of the profession. Are you graduating this year and interested? Reach out to Daniella Engelbrecht for details and full eligibility criteria. #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldCareers #ABetterWorldForPets #MarsVeterinaryHealth #VeterinaryMedicine #CareerGrowth #VetStudent

  • Our second feature for #WomensHistoryMonth is Dr. April Allen, who is the epitome of educating and inspiring others. She has been a Banfield Associate for over 12 years, working as an Area Chief of Staff for the last four. In this role, she helps support over a dozen veterinarians to deliver quality veterinary care every day. 🧡 She's also an active participant in our #BanfieldGivesBack program, bringing Banfield Pet Academy to a record number of schools to inspire the next generation and provide free preventive care in underserved communities. She shared, "I am passionate about speaking to young people about the veterinary field because I believe every student, regardless of background, should see that their dreams are within reach and that goals once thought distant can be achieved." We couldn't agree more! 👏 This year, one of her hospitals will be mentoring one of our NextVets and we can't wait to see how that student will shine with her guidance. ✨ #WomensHistoryMonth #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldCareers #VeterinaryMedicine #Mentorship

  • Mars Ambassador Program: Associate Spotlight 🌎✨ Growing up on a farm, Dr. Kathryn McCullough developed a passion for animal care, which led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Recently, she volunteered with MAP (Mars Ambassador Program) in Ghana, driven by her belief that access to care should be available to all animals. 🧡 During her time in Ghana, Dr. McCullough was moved by the generosity of the Ghanaian people and valued the opportunity to exchange knowledge with local veterinary students. One meaningful experience was diagnosing diseases uncommon in the U.S., like rabies and Newcastle disease in poultry. Reflecting on her journey, Dr. McCullough encourages others to explore volunteerism: "Nothing fills your bucket faster than helping others! Whether it's three weeks in Ghana or three hours helping a local charity, everyone has a skill to offer. Being present and showing people that you care is what is truly important." Thank you, Dr. McCullough, for your dedication to creating #ABetterWorldForPets and for sharing your inspiring experience. 👏 #BanfieldPetHospital #VeterinaryMedicine #Volunteering #ProudlyMars

  • Vet Students: some experiences can define your future—Banfield’s Student Job Program (SJP) is one of them. 🩺✨ For Mikayla, SJP wasn’t just about learning new skills; it was about gaining confidence, building clinical experience, and truly seeing herself in the DVM role. With hands-on training and engaged mentorship, her journey was, in her own words, "truly transformative." 🔥 If you’re looking for an opportunity to put your learning into action and grow with real-world experience, this is your nudge! 🐾 #banfieldcareers #banfieldpethospital #abetterworldforpets #proudlymars #mvhcareers #marsveterinaryheath #veterinarymedicine #vetstudent

  • 🌟 Associate Spotlight: Dr. Maria Ramirez Gorton 🌟 At Banfield, we believe in the power of giving back and encourage our team members to take advantage of our paid volunteering program by attending or organizing volunteer events. One of our amazing Community Champions, Dr. Maria Ramirez-Gorton, has recently organized and participated in five community events delivering preventive care to hundreds of vulnerable pets with the help of Banfield Foundation. For one of those events, she even took the opportunity to bring her son so they could volunteer together. 🧡 And this year, she's been elected to the Board of Directors for the Foundation so she can increase her impact and create #ABetterWorldForPets. As an Area Chief of Staff for more than 4 years, she has also helped veterinary teams in her market consistently deliver medical excellence. We're so proud to have Associates like Dr. Ramirez-Gorton who embody our commitment to quality care for our clients and communities! 👏👏👏 #BanfieldPetHospital #BanfieldGivesBack #DoGoodMovement #BanfieldFoundation #Volunteering
