🌊☘️Today the Enterprise Ireland USA Team kicked off a week of Offshore Wind activities. Ahead of the Wind Energy Trade Show in Dublin later this week, our US delegation travelled to Cork to learn more about the activities and plans for the Port of Cork, and the future of the industry with the National Maritime College of Ireland. Delegates had the opportunity to meet with Enterprise Ireland portfolio companies Portwest, Green Rebel, Irish Mainport Holdings, and Dublin Offshore and learned from the Enterprise Ireland team about Ireland's OSW ecosystem, in particular companies which comprise the Gael Offshore Wind Network. This week they have a packed agenda meeting with members of the Irish Offshore Wind ecosystem, attending the Wind Energy Trade Show, and exploring Ireland! Un étonnant spécimen de 108 mètres a été accueilli hier sur #Atlas pour le compte de MB92. Le RV F.L.I.P. (FLoating Instrument Platform) est un navire #océanographique en mesure de se retourner à la verticale en immergeant sa section arrière (90 mètres) pour étudier la hauteur des vagues, la densité et la température de l’eau, ainsi que l’activité des signaux acoustiques sous-marins. Par un système de ballast, il est coulé à la verticale en l'emplissant d'eau de mer puis replacé dans sa position initiale à l'horizontale par injection d'air comprimé. (FLoating Instrument Platform) is an #oceanographic vessel that can turn itself over vertically by submerging its stern section (90 metres) to study wave height, water density and temperature, and underwater acoustic signal activity. Using a ballast system, it is sunk vertically by filling it with seawater and then returned to its initial horizontal position by injecting compressed air.
