Big Brother Luke and his Little, E’Monte, were matched for nearly two years. During this time, they explored and discovered a variety of new skills together, including rollerblading, disc golf, and mastering the use of a slingshot! Despite their busy lives, they consistently prioritized spending time together. E’Monte appreciated having someone to confide in, while Luke treasured the countless fun memories they created. Although we’re sad to see them leave our program, we’re thrilled to have witnessed their growth together!

Meet City of Potential Award Finalists in the category of Excellence in Mentoring! Tia Hunt – Tia is a dedicated paraprofessional at Hardy Elementary School, where she enriches students' lives by providing educational support and organizing community events. As an accomplished entrepreneur, she designs and markets her own clothing line and is the author of the children's book I Love My Crown, which promotes self-acceptance and love for natural hair. Tia, a mother of three, is an inspiring figure who uses her platform to spread acceptance and encourage creativity in her community. Lulu Copeland – Although retired, Lulu Copeland remains active as a consultant in economic and workforce development, significantly impacting the Chattanooga region's engineering community. She has been instrumental in organizing Engineers Week to inspire future engineers and was key in bringing the Society of Women Engineers to Chattanooga. Lulu also leads the Million Women Mentors initiative in Tennessee, advocating for women in STEM, and contributes to international business development through the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. Drew Barton – Drew exemplifies mentorship through his role as the Youth Director at Signal Crest United Methodist Church, where he goes above and beyond in supporting middle and high school students by attending their events and maintaining contact even after graduation. As a volunteer assistant coach for Howard High School's baseball team, Drew goes beyond the field by driving players to practice, organizing meals, and collecting equipment donations, focusing on teaching teamwork and life skills. His dedication has profoundly impacted players' lives, helping them navigate challenges and pursue education, while also establishing a scholarship fund to support their growth and development.
