Beck's Hybrids

After working with Beck's Hybrids on their Salina, KS facility, they asked our team to build a nearly identical 100,000 SF distribution facility in Olivia, MN. The Salina project is coming to a close soon, and it’s looking great! We’ve recently just kicked off the Minnesota project, and it will look very similar to what you’re seeing in these pictures below of the Salina project. Both facilities are made of three Behlen Building Systems buildings—large storage units that serve multiple purposes. These buildings house cold/bulk storage, and they will also function as trucking distribution centers and offices. Both facilities will continue helping Beck’s to better serve farmers across the Midwest.

The Beck's Hybrids seed corn production season is steadily moving toward completion with about 70% of the fields near Mount Pleasant, IA harvested as of Oct. 9. With harvest in full swing, Beck’s provided Seed Today Editor Chris Lusvardi with a look at the work being done to pick the seed corn from the fields and begin processing it at their facility in Mount Pleasant as the Ride Between the Rows series continues: https://shorturl.at/RCPvG

Earlier this week, Scott Beck spoke at the Reuters Transform Food and Agriculture event in Minnesota, participating in a session titled "Relationship-First Approach and its Role in High-Value Markets". The session was moderated by Mitch Frazier, President and CEO of AgriNovus Indiana, and also included partner at Bryant Agricultural Enterprise, Kasey Bryant. What a great discussion it was, expanding on how a service-first culture encourages partnerships with farmers to improve profitability through premium opportunities for identity-preserved (IP) and climate-smart crops.
