It was a pleasure meeting with Cédric Van Branteghem, OLY, CEO of Team Belgium (Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee), in Los Angeles. As we gear up for the Belgian Foreign Trade Agency (BFTA) mission in 2025 and the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games, our CEO Alain Charbonnier shared our Chamber's initiatives and vision to enhance Belgium's visibility and support our companies, entrepreneurs and athletes during this global event. We were also glad to host our Premium Member TLS-EXPRESS and its CEO, Patrick Hollenfeltz, to discuss the significant logistics involved in bringing overseas 300+ support team members and their equipment alongside the athletes. We were delighted to welcome Lionel Lawson, our newest Belwest member, at the recent dinner organized by hub.brussels in San Francisco! Lionel is the founder and CEO of Skemmi, a Belgian company transforming cinema by making movies into massively interactive gaming experiences. He had an engaging conversation with our SF chapter leader, David Hubert. Skemmi is redefining movie-going by turning movie scenes into dynamic, crowd-controlled video games. They create gesture-based, in-theater games that let audiences interact with exclusive movie content and storylines on the big screen, enhancing participation and driving additional box-office revenue. Skemmi collaborates with major studios like The Walt Disney Company, Universal Pictures, and Paramount Pictures to deliver these immersive experiences.
