Bennett is excited to spotlight Efram Goldberg, who supports the Kennedy Space Center and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Programs. Recently, Efram was asked to use his nitrogen dioxide image in a college textbook. This image is a great opportunity for Efram to showcase his passion for chemistry and photography. In graduate school, he worked on the synthesis of rocket fuel nitrogen dioxide. The image is an overlay of the same ampoule taken at different temperatures, -196 °C, 0 °C, 23 °C, 35 °C, and 50 °C. It illustrates the temperature dependence of the equilibrium between colorless dinitrogen tetroxide and nitrogen dioxide gas.
