The South by Southwest festival kicked off in Austin, Texas, last week – and we were there! #SXSW is perhaps the world’s largest gathering that celebrates what it calls “the convergence of tech, film, music, education and culture,” attracting about 300,000 people from around the world. Many come to hear about the latest developments in digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), and their applications across diverse fields, from #engineering, energy, and #sustainability to communications and storytelling. Bentley Systems’ events included a panel showing how #digitaltwins are helping build a “star in a jar,” a massive fusion reactor designed to replicate the process that powers the sun’s core to generate clean #electricity. One day, fusion reactors could tap sea water as fuel. One small water bottle can power a household for an entire year.
