Interesting opportunity! About the role Ecologists work in a range of settings from statutory agencies, governments, through to NGOs and environmental consultancies. It is important that we understand the needs of these ecologists and provide support and opportunities for them. The Ordinary Member representing this ecological community on our board of trustees plays an integral part in how we do this as a society. The ideal person will be enthusiastic about bridging the gap between research and practice and be contributing to real world change through their work in ecology. In return you will get to influence the future of the BES and ecology by working with exceptional ecologists at the top of their game, meeting as a board of trustees four times a year and for our fun and energising annual strategy retreat
