Gabby and I have a lot to say! We’ve spoken in the past, for episodes #55, 89, 106 and 118 – now get ready for a two-parter this week and next. So much tender, informative, experienced information to be gleaned from these two discussions. I can’t wait to hear what you think and what you take away.

Have you ever felt the quiet weight of wanting to discuss end-of-life choices, but didn't know where to begin? This morning event offers a way to have that conversation, whether you're seeking clarity for yourself, supporting someone you love, or simply curious about understanding more. Join me along with keynote speakers Gabby Jimenez (The Hospice Heart) and Lisa Pahl (The Death Deck). With their rich background in hospice care, they'll share insights into the role of hospice, offer compassionate tips, and guide you on how to start those meaningful conversations. Myself and Rhea Mader (Conscious Living, Conscious Dying) will lead you through reflective exercises and a thoughtful Q&A, helping navigate this subject. You'll leave with invaluable resources, and perhaps most importantly, a clearer understanding of your own values and options as you move forward. Can’t make the Friday date? We're offering the same program in Denver on Saturday 9/28! When you are in that terribly complicated time of making medical decisions around advanced cancer, what framework can you turn to? Oncologists are called upon to treat and offer options; patients hope to gain time if not be cured. What are the choices and the impact of those choices for advanced solid tumor cancers? What if I told you that two doctors have gathered the data to find out whether certain treatments extend life or not. Would you listen to that conversation to find out more? I would! https://lnkd.in/gx-J7V7B Listen here: https://lnkd.in/gCAmsssk

This information is key to understand – and to understand upstream from when you need to know it. I think you’ll appreciate this week’s BLBD episode, which explores this topic with Dr Kerin Adelson (MD Anderson) and Dr Maureen Canavan (Yale School of Medicine) – some of the top minds in their field!

There’s intuition, there’s the opinion of family and friends… and then there is medical research. Join me this week for a BLBD podcast episode in which I talk with two doctors about a recent study they published in the Journal of American Medicine Oncology. Dr Kerin Adelson and Dr Maureen Canavan wanted to find out: in the case of advanced solid tumors, does Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy extend life?
