We spent last week flying across the state of Utah with our partners, conducting flight and ground operations at UPS’ Salt Lake City ramp, and demonstrating potential cargo and passenger routes with 47G, Utah Department of Transportation, and Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity as we work to stand up an AAM ecosystem in the state. It was a week filled with awesome people, gorgeous views, and easy flying. "These demonstrations are more than just a technology showcase — they represent a fundamental shift in how we think about mobility,” said Carlos Braceras, Executive Director of UDOT “There’s an opportunity ahead of the Olympics for Utah to lead the nation in Advanced Air Mobility. To be put on the map in a whole new way.” — Aaron Starks, CEO and President of 47G. This technology will unlock so much economic and logistical opportunity for residents and businesses — for the 2034 Olympics, and in the years leading up to it.

Always a pleasure to fly with UPS. ALIA felt right at home on your SLC ramp!
Last week, we conducted an operational demonstration with the BETA Technologies production intent CX300 in Salt Lake City. Conducting these exercises is not new for either organization, however, this was the first time the production intent CX300 visited a UPS Gateway. The SLC Ramp Team loaded and unloaded the aircraft with UPS volume gaining valuable experience with the aircraft and collected numerous data points. Although the aircraft is not yet approved for revenue volume, we were able to simulate a traditional feeder aircraft route. A special thanks to everyone that assisted. Jeff Luckett, Kristen Blodgett, Robert Bean + all the SLC Gateway Staff.

We spent our final day in Utah flying from Salt Lake City to Vernal, where we were greeted with such a warm reception. Vernal plays an integral role in the state and connects the Wasatch Front to the East. It was a great send-off to launch into the work ahead as we make AAM a reality in Utah with 47G, Utah Department of Transportation, and Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity!

Day Two in Utah with 47G, Utah Department of Transportation & Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity! We started the morning in Heber City— a future charging site and transit hub. After flying over Park City, we cut down a two plus hour drive by 2/3, landing in Logan, home to Utah State University and a premier flight training program. Next we landed in Ogden, a city that will play a major role in future Olympic operations. We’re excited by the energy and support from communities across Utah, and can’t wait to bring this technology to the state!

We’re back in Utah — this time with ALIA! We kicked things off at Salt Lake City International Airport with 47G, Utah Department of Transportation & Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity, welcoming a wide audience to see our aircraft up close and hear our plans for the future. Our awesome partners at Albany International Corp. got to stop by to see the aircraft they’ve worked so hard to help us create. Then, we flew south to Provo, welcoming local leaders and future pilots and maintainers from Brigham Young University. We can’t wait for the next couple days here!

This morning, we signed an official agreement with our longtime partners at Bristow Group, as well as Avinor and the Civil Aviation Authority, which will see another of our production aircraft head to Europe later this year for demonstration flights in Norway’s first test arena. We’ve already begun validation flights with 214BT at home, as her sister continues to make her way across the U.S.
