We are advocating for these people through education and promotion to change the perception that people who want to work part-time are lazy, unmotivated or unfocused. In fact, many times they are quite the opposite. We want to help employers create and provide part-time professional roles so they can HIRE and KEEP top talent. Advocating for more part-time professional opportunities is just one of Better Balance's three tenets. We think it's the most important one given the challenges employers and employees are facing right now.

What a great day at last week’s Texas Conference for Women! Sharon Seaberg Nabhan and I shared a booth and talked to many women looking for more balance and fulfillment in their work. It was so fun hearing women say, “Wait! Is this a thing? Are there really jobs like this?!?” Yes, yes there are. There is no shortage of people who want or need this type of work for various reasons - in fact most women said they would use their non-work time to take better care of themselves…interesting...
