💚 This week I'm focused on authenticity and storytelling for nonprofits. As a leader in economic development, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to rally community partners to increase contributions, engagement, and volunteerism. One of the most impactful examples was when a young boy, left disabled by a tragic accident, needed a wheelchair-accessible home to live safely with his grandmother. The situation felt hopeless until Bingman Construction Company stepped up, leading a team of volunteer engineers and carpenters who donated over $30,000 in labor and materials to transform the house - at no cost to the family! It's more than community work—it’s heart-work. It’s a testament to what happens when partners come together for a cause, and it’s these kinds of stories that inspire funders to take action. Project Update: Our development with Enterprise Mobility is starting to take shape. Despite spring showers, we have made significant progress over the past few weeks to ensure every aspect is of the highest standards. Thanks to our partners, the establishment is coming along for the fuel canopy, offices, and three-bay car wash. We are eager to watch this development transform into a highly functional space for National and Alamo. This week Bingman toured a project that will be influential to the Chesterfield area. The Shelbourne is a 197,000-square-foot luxury senior living complex that sits on the prime corner of the Chesterfield Mall. The facility will host a total of 150 units that will cater to independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The senior housing development is set to open its doors in May. Our company’s COO, Matthew Goebel, operated as the President of the general contractor assigned to the project. Matthew’s extensive knowledge with design-build construction, allowed his team to collaborate on the plans that significantly brought costs down without sacrificing quality. The Shelbourne’s finished product has some of the finest amenities offered in the St. Louis market. Goebel believes reducing costs does not correlate with reducing luxury. From a wine bar to a movie theatre the Shelbourne will offer a remarkable experience for its residents and for those who visit. Matthew’s forward thinking, adaptability, and motivation to do what’s best for stakeholders is what drives the Bingman Construction Company forward. Our team strives for inspiration, so we recently visited a project previously built by Senior Project Manager, Robert Turck. The 21c Museum Hotel is an eclectic yet luxurious hotel in downtown St. Louis. This once thriving YMCA branch has been converted to a boutique hotel and art museum. The challenge behind a project of this scale is preserving the historical significance of this 160,000 square foot building while delivering modern amenities to guests of the hotel. Rob’s dedication to detail is exemplified in these beautiful photos. Many features of this hotel were preserved and refurbished to provide guests with an authentically historic St. Louis visit.
