Very proud to say that we have been recognized as a winner for Boston Business Journal’s BostInno Fire Awards! They cited our work with #biotech companies and teachers in the Boston community to help to bridge the gap in STEM education. This year, our work has accelerated with the launch of #BioTechBuilder, which prepares students for micro-credentialing so that they can choose to enter the workforce after high school graduation. We're on track to grow the future with a highly skilled life science workforce - the sort that industry needs to solve some of the world’s greatest challenges with science. Our new off-the-shelf curriculum is ready to integrate into the classroom so we can #educate a future-ready workforce. And a Best of STEM award goes to... US! BioBuilder Educational Foundation has been selected as a winner for Catapult X, LLC’s Best of STEM awards in the Career & Technical Education category! This win showcases the impact of the new #BioTechBuilder program that works to address the skills gap for young learners interested in #biotech careers by making hands-on, experiential learning opportunities more accessible. Our work with Carolina Biological Supply Company and Bioscience Core Skills Institute (BCSI) has resulted in a full-package that can be implemented in classrooms across the country. At #BioBuilder, we want to solve some of the world’s greatest challenges with life #science. To make that happen we work to ensure that students have the interest, knowledge, and skills to enter the #biotech workforce with confidence. We've always taken aim at what we see as the root cause of the issue, and we work hard to re-engage students who are in the classroom with hands-on learning opportunities in #STEM. The approach not only excites students about careers in the sciences, but reinvigorates great teachers and helps meet the future needs of the biotech industry by ensuring that they have a skilled talent pool.   Founder and Executive Director Natalie Kuldell shared some of her thoughts on the power of giving first chances for students who are in biology classrooms today. Not every student’s path takes them to a college education. At #BioBulider, we work to provide students with hands-on opportunities for “stackable” learning experiences to build up their knowledge and practical application of science when entering the workforce.    Founder and executive director Natalie Kuldell and Angela Consani, CEO and co-founder at Bioscience Core Skills Institute (BCSI), recently joined Tristan Free on the BioTechniques podcast for a conversation about how #BioBuilder and #BCSI are bringing hands-on experiences in #STEM education to young learners who are passionate about the sciences. Alumna Angel Waruinge-Muthemba recently spoke with the Revere Journal about how #BioBuilder helped her make the decision to pursue a career in #STEM.   Angel shared “I found lab math to be overwhelming — I wasn’t confident in myself. Dr. Natalie Kuldell along with Kate Bacon Schneider single handedly gave me the reassurance and confidence I needed to succeed through the program. By the end of my time at BioBuilder, I secured a full-time internship with a biotech startup in Cambridge.
