Boston University School of Medicine (BU CAMED) was established in 1873 and has been a premier institution for teaching medicine ever since. Now, in collaboration with Jonathan Wisco, PhD, Associate Professor, Anatomy & Neurobiology, we have launched over 90 interactive 3D models of human anatomy to improve the understanding of complex concepts. These interactive 3D models are now available in the BioDigital Platform for students, teachers, and healthcare professionals to access from anywhere in the world, on any device. Thank you BU CAMED and Dr. Wisco for deploying another application of BioDigital thats enables a better understanding of health and the human body! Powering the world's understanding of the human body
About us
We’re all human - BioDigital created the world’s first #interactive3D body platform to revolutionize the understanding of the human body. Often referred to as “Google Maps for the Human Body,” the BioDigital Human platform is a medically accurate, virtual map of the human body—composed of over 12,000 individually selectable anatomical structures, 800 simulated health conditions, and a toolkit to map and visualize data. This fully embeddable, cloud based software is available in eight languages, on any desktop, mobile device, or in AR/VR for use within any educational or clinical workflow. Today over 5,000,000 healthcare professionals, students, patients and others rely on the BioDigital Human to understand human health. The most common type of ovarian cancer, which accounts for about 75%, is called high-grade serous carcinoma, which has historically had no early warning signs or prescreening options. But we now know that it originates in the fallopian tube, and once detected, performing a salpingectomy substantially reduces the lifetime risk of developing the most deadly type of ovarian cancer. We’re proud to support Dr Rebecca Stone of Johns Hopkins Medicine and Dr. Kara Long Roche of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in their work by making this complex topic understandable and actionable using our human body visualization platform.
