We are excited to have co-hosted last Thursday's Science Day with Life Science Cares New York and New York City Economic Development Corporation who organized this impactful initiative, which saw us welcoming students from #NYC high schools and introducing them to the world of #biotech! We kicked the day off with a tour of our site which transitioned into hands-on activities: a glowing bacteria experiment with Lisa Kalkbrenner and Felix Ekness (Quorum Bio), strawberry DNA extraction with Mariluz Soula, PhD, Prakrit Jena and Alimatou Bah (Lime Therapeutics), viewing a liver with Mark Lundquist PhD, MBA, Kelly Tompeck DO, Nicola de Prisco, PhD and Amita G. (Ochre Bio) and a safety workshop led by Jennifer Savicky (Safety Partners). We wrapped up the day with our “Bio Bites” lunch which featured engaging conversations with Tarek Ali Zaki (OncoPrecision), Anshu Goyal (XYone Therapeutics Inc.), Rupsa Basu, M.Sc, Ph.D. (Humane Genomics) and Sudharsan Dwaraknath (Quorum Bio).
