The #whitepaper is the result of a collaborative effort of #EUfunded research on plastic and bio-based packaging. We recognize the challenges of the food and drink sectors in reducing their waste in the landfill, and we need innovative solutions to achieve circular economy goals. So, we propose recommendations for the future on how to achieve transformation in the sector by 2030 and beyond. 📢 Exiting news from BioSupPack 💣 On the past two days, a project meeting of the BioSupPack Partners was hosted by Agricultural University of Athens AUA OFC in Athens, Greece. This 40th-month meeting was useful to share our latest updates and agree on the main next steps 🚀 🤝 During the #meeting we had the chance to share the work done and the preliminary results, discuss upcoming activities, take technical decisions and plan the next actions. We had also productive #workgroup sessions to define the exploitation plan of the project results, the quantities of PHB materials and requirements for the fibre based prototypes ✨ 🌟 About the Project: BioSupPack's aims to reduce #packaging waste by creating sustainable solutions based on PHA from residues, demonstrating a feasible #recycling process for these biobased plastics, ensuring valuable resources stay in circulation📦 #BioSupPack is driven by a shared commitment to #sustainability #innovation and #circulareconomy .
