The Birtcher team spent the morning with our partners, University of Nevada-Las Vegas and Gardner Group at the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) for the LVGEA 2024 Perspective. It was an informative morning as we heard more about economic development opportunities in Las Vegas for the film and healthcare industries. We’re excited to announce that Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), one of the world’s leading global media and entertainment companies, plans to partner with University of Nevada-Las Vegas and Birtcher Development through a long-term commitment to lease, operate and fully occupy Nevada Studios - the centerpiece of the film studio tax credit legislative proposal that seeks to establish film and TV studio infrastructure and workforce development programs at UNLV’s Harry Reid Research & Technology Park in Las Vegas. Nevada Studios, which will be renamed “Warner Bros. Studios Nevada,” will serve as the primary studio complex of the proposed 34-acre campus and will feature full-service film and television studios and other facilities designed to capitalize on emerging technologies related to WBD’s content creation. “Once the law goes into effect, Warner Bros. This nonprofit organization is committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and building specially-adapted smart homes for injured veterans and first responders. “My husband served in the Navy for 23 years and we had the privilege of being a part of the military community. I have seen firsthand that military spouses have a lot of responsibilities while their service members are on deployments. Some of our Birtcher team members enjoyed a morning of giving back at GrowGood, Inc in Bell, CA, with NAIOP SoCal. We helped clean up the community garden, and learned about how they use urban agriculture to transform communities and change the lives of those experiencing homelessness by growing food! Birtcher CEO, Brandon Birtcher, was a recent judge in NAIOP SoCal’s annual YPG Case Competition, where five talented teams competed to propose the highest and best use for a live site in Laguna Niguel.
