To continue our cookout series, BlackECE will be hosting a fun-filled Black family cookout on Saturday, August 31, 2024 in the Central Valley!     ⭐ A week ago today was the start of the first-ever BlackECE Symposium. This year, we focused on policy, practice, and research at The Citizen Hotel in Sacramento, CA by moderating panels from BlackECE Co-Founders and experts in the field of ECE. Announcing one of our Esteemed Panelists: Dr. Cristine Quince is a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley's School of Education, specializing in teacher education and the pedagogies of teachers of color. Her research focuses on how these educators implement culturally responsive methods in classrooms and understanding the cultural capital of Black students to enhance their educational experiences.
