An AI realized it was talking to a parrot. This video went absolutely VIRAL yesterday. → With 10M views in less than 24 hours. And this isn't just some fun experiment. It’s a testament to how quickly conversational AI is advancing. Only ten years ago we got Siri. And now? Bland, the company behind the AI phone agent in the video, is handling millions of calls. Simultaneously 🤯 → In any language, any voice, and for any use case – while sounding totally human. 🦜 Recognizing parrot voices is cute, but behind the scenes everyone from SMBs to Fortune 500s are using Bland’s platform to build their own AI phone agents. It can: - Connect effortlessly with 5000+ tools. - Analyze every call with detailed analytics, down to emotion detection. - Every conversation is instantly transcribed, with key insights extracted in seconds. It’s both exciting and terrifying. If you run a business, the math is simple: → AI never takes PTO, works 24/7, is cheaper, and increasingly better at certain tasks than humans. It's becoming impossible to ignore. Honestly, I’m not sure how to feel about it. But slowing down to think about AI adoption when your competitors aren't → is probably a losing move. But what do you think?? 👉 Give it a call on their site: Bland.com 👉 Or enterprises can demo their exclusive advanced version here: Bland.com/enterprise

This was just spotted in NYC... a giant talking telephone car - powered by AI. It’s been driving around all day, stopping at different locations. But that’s not even the craziest part. 📢 Surrounding it? Four massive digital billboard trucks. And the message? Brutal. ✉️ "Dear US businesses, We've wasted ~9,000,000 hours on hold this year. Even this billboard handles calls better. Sincerely, Your 'valued customers' P.S. 415-480-0000" If you call it, Bland AI picks up - talking as if its the telephone car itself. I called. And honestly? I was not ready. It sounds just like a person. It explains how it can make millions of calls 24/7 - for sales, support, and anything in between. Any voice. Any use case. Any tool. No hallucinations. 🚀 Major enterprises are already signing up. 💀 But the the real question is: What happens to jobs? Is this the future of customer support? It seems like companies will be forced to adopt it just from the price alone. I know I'd rather talk to this than wait on hold for 2 hours. There's a little more to the story too. But I'll let you call the number to find that out....

Introducing … Warm Transfers 🎯 When a phone agent hands off a call to a human, context matters. That’s why Bland’s warm transfers don’t just connect you—they ensure a smooth, uninterrupted transition. How it works: 1️⃣ A phone agent (Agent A) fields a request to transfer a call. 2️⃣ A second phone agent (Agent B) dials the live customer service rep. 3️⃣ Agent B gives the rep a quick briefing before merging the calls. 4️⃣ Both parties are introduced, and Bland exits. For businesses, this means smoother handoffs and a better customer experience. See it in action ⬇️

I'm thrilled to announce the public release of the Speech Emotion Intensity Recognition Database (SEIR-DB)! This comprehensive, multilingual dataset contains over 600,000 instances designed to support cutting-edge tasks in speech emotion recognition and emotion intensity estimation. Originally developed as part of my academic project in 2023 under Dr. Mirco Ravanelli’s Conversational AI course at Concordia University, SEIR-DB features a diverse range of languages—including English, Russian, Mandarin, Greek, Italian, and French. Notably, it is the largest available structured dataset for speech emotion recognition on Hugging Face, ready out of the box for model development. I’m excited to share this resource with the research community to accelerate advancements in speech emotion recognition and to foster the development of innovative, advanced models. Explore the dataset and join the conversation here: https://lnkd.in/e-V5PAvP

Valentine’s Day is all about connection—so is Babel. Babel is our new real-time, multilingual voice transcription model, built to understand conversations across languages with low latency and high accuracy. To achieve near-instant transcription, our team optimized NVIDIA A100 GPUs, custom CUDA kernels, and noise handling. We also tackled latency at every level—custom memory management and adaptive processing allow us to deliver the first transcribed word in under 100ms. Beyond speed, we’re refining Babel to make voice interactions more fluid, natural, and universally accessible. Watch the demo, and happy (early) Valentine’s Day.
