At Fruit Attraction São Paulo 2025, Angela Patricia, Technical Manager of BLOOM FRESH™ in Brazil, spoke about the crucial role of empowering young women in agriculture. We need to move beyond the idea that women can’t thrive in this industry. Change starts with them, companies must actively promote visibility for younger women in fields like science, technology, and beyond.  Her message highlighted that this is not just about encouragement, but about creating real opportunities for women to lead and innovate within agriculture.

Antonia Sanchez Labbe, our International Technical and R&D Manager of cherries, shared insights on the Chilean cherry industry. 🍒 Her presentation highlighted how early cherry varieties can address mid-season overproduction, which significantly impacted prices this year. I’m at the airport returning home after a very busy few days in India. It’s my 8th visit to Nashik in the last 12 years and I’m still blown away with the progress being made here year after year. We hosted our first BLOOM FRESH Open Day & Conference in Nashik, where we showcased the table grape varieties that we’ve introduced to India. We also inaugurated our new test plot, an investment that will not only host our future genetics but also give growers firsthand experience of how our varieties perform under local conditions. Beyond that, we spent invaluable time with all of our main licensees, sharing our vision for the future of India’s table grape industry—and the energy in the room (and in the fields) was infectious. I told our licensees on Wednesday that this is a pivotal moment for India’s table grape industry and I wholeheartedly believe it. With our BLOOM FRESH varieties now in the hands of Indian growers, the opportunities are enormous. Consumers worldwide will enjoy the exceptional quality they’ve come to expect from our varieties. Growers will benefit from higher yields and better market access (both locally and for export), And retailers, who have long struggled with consistency during the Indian grape season, will finally have a product they can rely on. India, this is your moment! 🇮🇳🇮🇳The world is watching, and I have no doubt you’re going to deliver something amazing.
