🩵 Stumbled upon Blooming on city kiosks yesterday. 👵🏻👴🏽It specifically felt great to reflect how far we have come since the peak of pandemic in NYC, when we launched with with our first community partner, Union Settlement, to connect underserved older adults with their vital services such as food, transportation, vaccination, etc. ✨It just happened yesterday that in a conversation with Luz S. Carty and Derrick Boone, Psy.D., we were reflecting on the pressure on Community Based Organizations during the pandemic to literally save people’s lives, and how an inclusive technology solution facilitated it. The healthcare system is not set up for aging adults and by 2030, all baby boomers will be older than 65, meaning 1 in 5 U.S. residents will be of retirement age. It’s estimated that by then, nearly 70% of adults over 65 will require some form of long-term care in their lifetime. This is why I believe so deeply in the work Blooming Health is doing. We are looking for an all-star Account Executive to help scale this mission driven team. We need someone who has experience selling into aging, healthcare, or government programs.
