Considered the “Super Bowl of Wildlife Art,” the Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest happens in different locations across the country each year. The Bruce Museum will host the competitive event September 19-20, which will determine the winning artwork for the 2025 Federal Duck Stamp. The artist’s prize? A pane of stamps signed by the Secretary of the Interior and considerable bragging rights. The contest is tied to “Conservation Through the Arts: Celebrating the Federal Duck Stamp,” an exhibition that traces the artistry behind nine decades of duck stamp designs and the environmental culture surrounding them. “In Toledo, glass is king!” proclaimed The Architect's Newspaper as they shared the story of nearly 200 glowing glass orbs that create “Field of Histories” at Glass City Metropark. The installation by Brooklyn-based artist Bryony Roberts is integrated into the landscape and celebrates the community’s legacy.
