T-Mobile understands that military life can be tough, and that employment is a big issue for military spouses and Veterans. That’s why T-Mobile is leading the way in hiring military spouses and Veterans through initiatives like the Blue Star Families 4 + 1 Commitment. But, that's not all! Last month, 200 military family members got to see comedian Ashley Gutermuth live for a special night of laughs, celebration, and connection in honor of Blue Star Welcome Week thanks to T-Mobile. Thank you, T-Mobile, for doing your part and making a big impact for military families. We can all make a difference for military families by doing our part — how will you Do Your Part? See how you can make a difference at https://bit.ly/42TtGE4. #DoYourPart is made possible by the generous support of Craig Newmark and Craig Newmark Philanthropies. At #BlueStarFamilies, we know how vital it is to support each other, especially in the military and Veteran community. While many of your friends may seem to be doing well, some may be quietly facing challenges. That's why it’s so important to check in on your buddies this Veteran Buddy Check Week. As a proud member of the Face The Fight coalition, we’re encouraging everyone to check in on their buddies, break the stigma, and open up real conversations about mental health. You can also connect them to helpful resources like 1-800-MyVA411 (1-800-698-2411), a one-stop resource for Veterans and their families. Together, we can #FaceTheFight by taking action and pledging to #TalktoTen Veterans. Take the pledge by clicking the link below and commit to being there for your friends when they need it most: https://bit.ly/4eT50Ar

What an incredible gathering at The White Oak Collaborative Luncheon, hosted on October 10th at The Army & Navy Club! We were honored to have Terri Tanielian, Special Assistant to the President for Veterans Affairs, as our guest speaker. Her insights, viewed through a Veteran-focused lens, sparked dynamic conversations about the challenges facing military and Veteran-connected communities. It was also a pleasure to welcome Mrs. Andrea Ruiz, spouse of SMMC Carlos Ruiz, whose presence highlighted the importance of including military families in these crucial discussions. A big thank you to the Board of Oversight: Pete Jeffries, Michael Meese, Michael Jordan, Margaret (Meg) Harrell, Ph.D., Eric Eversole, Steven Schwab, Donna Hoffmeier, Kathy Roth-Douquet, and Jose Ramos for hosting this impactful event, and to our members and special guests who contributed to the thoughtful dialogue.
