Over the past five months, we have held numerous small group meetings with our employees concerning our new Employee Stock Ownership Plan. We have covered everything from how the ESOP works and what it means to be an employee-owner to ways in which each employee can enhance profits and as a result their investment in Bythe. The discussions have been powerful and learning opportunities for all of us. One of our key messages in each meeting is the fact that we are still a family company. The family is just much bigger.

We may have gotten a lot of rain last week in the Carolinas but that did not stop our team from learning and growing. Several of our Blythe Development employees took part in training on our simulator taking the opportunity to grow their skills in operating track-hoes, bulldozers, and off-road trucks.

At Blythe, we know that safety is essential in everything we do. We appreciate and commend the work of Bruce Poling, our Division Manager for Safety and HR. Bruce has made safety more than a priority for Blythe. He continues to refine our safety program, including new ways to make sure our employees are trained for the tasks ahead and have the most up-to-date education. Due to the work of Bruce, safety is an integral part of our culture with results indicative of this commitment. Thank you Bruce.

A few of our employees had the opportunity to visit and train at Caterpillar a few weeks ago. Brandon Illsley, Tim McCoy Sam Lawhon, Cody Poarch, Yancy Stiles, and Beau Kelly had a great time touring plants including their undercarriage facility, parts facility, and assembly plant for D8 & D10 dozers. While there they learned about some of the new technology coming out with the CAT 3D grade systems. Thanks to Caterpillar for supporting Blythe Development, our employees, and their training.
