About us

Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential and productive, caring, responsible citizens. We offer life-saving programs to youth in our community with a focus on reaching those who need us most. We provide prevention focused after-school programs for youth ages 2 1/2 - 19, patterned after nationally designed Boys & Girls Clubs of America programs that fall under the 3 program pillars of Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship and Healthy Life styles. A research-based "youth development strategy" is integrated into all programming and implemented by trained professional staff, serving as positive role models. We are unique in that we have been operating a preschool program for 35 years, helping youth from the ages of 2 1/2 - 5 prepare for kindergarten. The Club also offers tutoring and homework help, computer classes, leadership groups, health and fitness activities, job search assistance, science education, fine arts, an award winning music program, and conflict resolution skills development.

Updates

  • We're lucky to have advocates like Tana Senn supporting and uplifting our youth. Sophia takes the stage today as a finalist for Washington State Youth of the Year and our BGCB community will be cheering her on every step of the way!

Last night at the Governor's Mansion, I had the honor of announcing the Youth of the Year Community Service Award to one of the amazing Boys & Girls Clubs Youth of the Year finalists--Kurt from Thurston County. Hearing about each of the 16 finalists' dreams, talents and contributions to their community, club and school was inspiring. As a board member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue, it was especially wonderful to again spend time with Bellevue's Youth of the Year finalist, Sophia! Next up: The big unveiling of the Youth of the Year on Thursday! Good luck to all of the Youth finalists!

  • We are excited to unveil the Lake Hills Community Room, delivered by Amazon!   This space will serve as a hub for creativity, connection, and community. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this room will have on those who call Lake Hills home and beyond.   A huge thank you to Pearl Leung, Keri Pravitz and Amazon for their support in helping us continue to provide safe, welcoming spaces for our youth and community to thrive.

  • Three remarkable teens and a junior candidate took the stage at our 2025 Youth of the Year event, sharing powerful stories of advocacy, strength, and resilience in front of a room full of community members, family, friends, judges, and mentors.    After weeks of preparation and mentorship, each teen delivered speeches that showcased the impact the Club has had on their lives.    We are proud to announce Sophia as our 2025 Youth of the Year! Next stop: the state competition, where we’ll all be cheering her on. A huge thank you to our judges—Matt Rossmeissl, Angela Johnson, CCP, SPHR, and Anatoliy Nazariya—and incredible mentors—Morela Hernandez, Jennifer Liu, and Pete Parsons—whose guidance and support was invaluable to our teens.

🏅 YOUTH OF THE YEAR | BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF BELLEVUE We are so incredibly proud of our eldest daughter Sophia who has been selected as one of Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue candidates to represent the club at this year's Youth of the Year competition alongside two other candidates. We couldn’t be prouder of Sophia and everything she has already accomplished at such a young age. Being Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Club Member can achieve. Winners at local, state, regional, and national levels earns scholarships, gain access to networking opportunities with civic and corporate leaders, and develop relationships with other young leaders. This program often transforms participants, providing them with skills, connections, and experiences that open doors to prestigious universities, interships, and career pathways. My family and I are so thankful for organizations like Boys and Girls Club and we would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation for everything they do within the community. • We are honored to announce that T & T Supermarket, part of the largest retailer in Canada, has made us their first U.S. nonprofit partner.   During a Lunar New Year celebration at our Jing Mei Elementary Clubhouse, we were joined by T&T Supermarket's CEO Tina Lee, her incredible team, and Bellevue's Mayor Dr. Lynne Robinson to honor the cultural diversity we share in our Clubhouses.   T&T Supermarket recently opened their first U.S. store in Bellevue, and we are grateful that before their doors even opened, they felt our impact, and wanted to be a part of it.
