Brasfield & Gorrie is the construction company that builds with spirit and puts relationships at the heart of our work.
About us
Our locally led teams are made up of true builders united in an ironclad commitment to serve our partners, communities, and the future we’re building toward. Because we know it’s the people behind each project that matter most. Since Miller Gorrie founded Brasfield & Gorrie in 1964, we’ve grown from a local contractor to a national construction company with 13 offices in eight states. In 2023, Engineering News-Record ranked us #21 on its Top Contractors list, and ENR Southeast ranks us #1 in the region. We’ve helped clients complete projects that transform communities and power economies. And during our growth, we’ve maintained the identity that sets us apart—true builders guided by the Golden Rule

We had a blast celebrating our 60th anniversary with 3,000 of our employees and guests! 💙 Take a closer look at all the festivities, from the block party, to the dinner and reception, to the Vince Gill performance. It was extra special hosting the event at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, where we've completed three projects. Video by West Block Studios

We're making great progress at the Hayes Barton Place project in Raleigh. This senior living facility will feature 169 independent living units, along with 85 healthcare units for assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. A special thanks to the Oberlin Middle School art club students for brightening up our jobsite and painting murals on the conex boxes. Once complete in spring 2025, this project will have used 1.3 million bricks, 1,500 tons of rebar, 14 miles of wires and cables, and 33,000 cubic yards of concrete.

Our Raleigh teammates celebrated the groundbreaking of the City of Raleigh East Civic Tower project. The 17-story civic office tower will feature 16 floors of office space and conference facilities for more than 1,100 staff members. The building will also help provide public-facing government functions and will house a public service area, council chamber, health center, art gallery space, and a coffee bar/grab-and-go station.

Construction is ready to play ball! ⚾ We've broken ground at the newly named Synovus Park in Columbus, Georgia. This renovation of the historic Golden Park will expand seating, add suites and club-level hospitality, and upgrade player facilities for events. Tim Hudson, former Atlanta Braves pitcher and Columbus native, spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony. Synovus Park will be the home of the Atlanta Braves’ Class AA minor league baseball affiliate, bringing professional baseball back to Columbus for the first time since 2008.
