Programs like SNAP and the Child Tax Credit are crucial, but we need leaders who prioritize ending hunger. This November, let’s vote for change. As Hispanic Heritage Month concludes, we invite you to pray for Latino/a children facing hunger. In 2023, 27% of Latino children in the U.S. experienced food insecurity—far too many for such a great nation. Programs like WIC and school meals are vital to helping families, but we need to do more. More than 150 Bread for the World advocates gathered at Light of the World Christian Church for a powerful evening of learning, testimonies, action, and commitment during Nourish Our Future: Seeds of Hope for Indiana’s Children. We learned from experts about the critical role of the #ChildTaxCredit, heard personal stories of its impact on families in Indiana, and took action, urging Sen. Todd Young to lead in protecting and expanding this vital support for children and families. Thank you to everyone who joined us, both in person and virtually, for your commitment to ending hunger in Indiana, across the U.S., and abroad.

The recent hurricanes have been devastating, leaving many communities in their wake struggling to rebuild. Florence French Fagan, our senior regional organizer for the Southeast, shares a reflection and heartfelt gratitude for all who have stepped up in these difficult times. From West Virginia to Florida, Bread members from churches, college campuses, nonprofits, and state agencies have been moved by God’s grace to work for justice for those in need. Your unwavering support and commitment to helping your neighbors during such heavy events has been truly inspiring. We are deeply grateful for your dedication. Thank you.
