Attending the recent 70th Annual Conference of the Tennessee Association for Children’s Early Education (TACEE) as a panelist on The Business of Early Education was a pleasure. Sarah Mattson, City of Chattanooga director of entrepreneurship, moderated the panel, which included Lynn Chesnutt, Tennessee Small Business Development Centers (TSBDC) (Chattanooga) director, and Chastiney Phifer, MBA, Tennessee Child Care Resource and Referral small business support specialist. Tamara Carlyle, the owner of Bright Beginnings Academy and BrightBridge Capital client, shared her story of unsuccessfully trying to find funding to buy a building until she met with a lender at SouthEast Bank who recommended a 504 loan and introduced her to us. Like many daycare providers, Tamara started her business in her home, moved to leased space, and now owns her building. We have partnered with banks to provide the 504 loan to daycare owners to construct or purchase a building, and to acquire another operator. Daycare is a critical need in so many communities; we appreciate the opportunity to help our bank partners provide capital solutions to this vital industry. #childcare #daycare #communitybanking #banking #504loan #commercialrealestate
