Our hearts go out to every person and community impacted by the devastation from Hurricane #Helene. Thank you to our teammates for putting our purpose into action and showing care for those who need it more than ever. 💜
As we continue to come to grips with the tragic loss of life and devastation Hurricane Helene has left behind, our first priority is to care for our teammates, clients and the communities we serve. In addition to the $500,000 donation announced last week, our Truist Foundation will contribute an additional $500,000 in support for disaster relief and recovery efforts. We have also activated a 2-to-1 match for gifts to our internal Truist One Team Fund, which supports teammates in need, and we encourage affected teammates to use this resource. And, teammates who wish to donate to the American Red Cross or other humanitarian aid organizations are encouraged to submit a request for a matching gift. Our humanitarian aid team has been activated in areas most devastated by Helene. At several locations, we are distributing supplies including water, batteries, baby needs, blankets, and non-perishable food. We are here to serve our clients, and while several locations are still without power, we will be deploying mobile branches, ATMs, and generators where they are needed most. While the storm has passed, its impact will be felt for a long time to come as we grieve the loss of lives and homes and support the communities that have much work to do to rebuild. Thank you to the Truist team for all the ways you are showing care. Our purpose is clear at times like these, and I know we will all rise to the challenge to inspire each other, our clients, and our communities.

Our purpose of inspiring and building better lives and communities came to life in a big way at our immersive learning experience in partnership with the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business! Two days. Eleven companies. Forty-five students and 1,000+ new ideas. We want to thank Truist, Amazon Web Services (AWS), IBM, and IHG Hotels & Resorts for an exhilarating hands-on experience that brought together students from The University of Georgia and FinTech experts to create innovative payment solutions for Athens brands like Jittery Joe's Coffee, Kempt Athens and Classic City Collective, Golden Pantry Food Stores, burton + BURTON, Your Pie Franchising, LLC and Hotel Indigo. Students dove headfirst into two days of experimentation with no-code platforms to solve real-world business problems and pitch their solutions to leaders from local businesses and Truist. We are proud to educate the next generation of FinTech disruptors and inspired by their commitment to serve their local business community. #UGA #Truist #FinTech #TruistImmersiveLearning - UGA MIS
