Suzanne Jordan, Medicare compliance director for Broadspire, recently shared her 2025 predictions with CLM Alliance (Claims and Litigation Management Alliance) and noticed a shift in proactive planning to help avoid Medicare compliance penalties under the new SCHIP Section 111 guidelines. "With proactive planning essential, many employers will institute mandatory training or look to Third Party Administrators (TPAs) to provide support for this complex and detailed compliance process," says Suzanne. "Automation will be a valuable tool for verifying if an injured worker is a Medicare beneficiary (both initially and over time to catch status changes) and tracking ongoing responsibility for medicals (ORM)."
