Brooklyn Tea has an opportunity to expand into 104 Target locations but lacks the necessary capital. we are seeking community support to achieve an online sales goal of $50,000 by August 1st. Three ways to help: -purchasing products, -buying gift cards, or -donating through our campaign link. The funds will cover the costs of tea, packaging, and shipping, with the entire process requiring payments before receiving revenue from Target. Last week marked the exciting launch of the Airport Concessionaires Accelerator Program, a dynamic collaboration between ACE, the program sponsor, Morehouse Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (MIEC), and Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC). Out of the 75+ entrepreneurs that applied, only 23 were accepted into the cohort (almost 1/3 of them are ACE clients)! We extend our sincerest gratitude to Dr. Tiffany Rogers Bussey and Danita Harris for their invaluable partnership. Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome AMAC as our newest collaborative ally. Together, we unveiled a groundbreaking concessions Cohort aimed at empowering minority and underserved businesses at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Beginning on Wednesday, May 8th, this program has set to deliver indispensable insights and expertise for those aiming to enter the airport concessionaire arena.

As Women's History Month has come to a close, I've been reflecting on some of the incredible accomplishments that we had both locally and globally! In NYC, we were able to put our new office space to use and host 3 onsite events which helped in exceeding our membership growth goals and $'s raised to support small businesses! In our mission to power prosperity, we hosted 6 Small Businesses to have a pop-up shop where employees could purchase their products! Thank you, Paige Graham, Santos A., Camille Beckles, Sadé Swift, India Williams, and BlissBomb Baked Mini Donuts for your participation! We then hosted small business, Brooklyn Tea and had an onsite tea tasting to better understand different tea types and its benefits! Thank you, Jamila McGill and Alfonso Wright for sharing your story! Lastly, we ended the month with a panel lunch featuring three amazing women in tech, Emily (Em) Whitney, Jiayao (Jade) Liu, and Amy Huang 💜 I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to help build our community in the quickly growing NYC site through being the local chair of the Women's Network, and I am grateful for Intuit for fostering a culture to support small businesses and women-led initiatives!
