At Bunge, our relentless pursuit of safety is rooted in our care and concern for people and their families. Our Thrace, Türkiye, team was awarded Most Improved Facility in our Global Stand for Safety Awards for their focus on improving safety at their site. Closing out our video series featuring our Global Safety winners for 2023 is the story of Thrace. The team in Türkiye took action in several areas to keep their employees safe at work. In 2024, Bunge introduced a new category in our Global Stand for Safety Awards: Best Project. In this new category, the Best Project Award is given to a current major capital project planning team based on their proactive safety approaches, completion of safety trainings, communication and engagement programs and effective risk management. In 2024, Luziânia, Brazil, was named the first winner of the Best Project. See below, why their project, which addressed work at height, confined space and process safety management activities, was named the top project focused on safety.

We are very excited to share a new commercial partnership in Brazil that will start an operation using B100 biofuel. The trucks, which are part of the Martelli Transportes fleet, were purchased from Grupo Volvo no Brasil. The fleet is fueled by 100% renewable biofuel, made from soybean oil, produced by Bunge at our plant in Nova Mutum. The trucks are exclusively dedicated to our operations in the region. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), B100 emits around 99% less CO2 than diesel. Initiatives like this are aligned with our science-based targets for reducing emissions and have high potential for adding value in the chain. Learn more at: https://lnkd.in/dKVmVjK4 (in Portuguese)

That’s why each year, we recognize the top teams through our Global Stand for Safety Awards, highlighting the work and commitment of our facilities across the world.
