The Black Women's Congressional Alliance is a professional & social network for Black women who work on and off the Hill
About us
The Black Women’s Congressional Alliance supports over 900 Black women who work in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate. We are challenging the ‘ole boys network’ by building a pipeline of our own. To best serve our country and our community, Black women must be in the room when key policy and messaging decisions are being made, not only for entry-level positions but as top advisors and decision-makers.

Always an honor!
Yesterday, the Women’s Congressional Policy Institute and the Black Women's Congressional Alliance sponsored a mentoring event, bringing together a bipartisan group of House and Senate women Chiefs of Staff. The senior women staff offered insights, tips, and guidance to junior Hill staff who are looking to make the next move in their Hill career. WCPI administers “Joint Session,” a bicameral, bipartisan program for congressional women chiefs of staff and committee staff directors. Thank you to everyone who attended!

WGRG Lobbyist of the Year| Public Speaker| I bring together people, politics, and policy to create legislative victories for my clients & I run/co-founded an organization to support Black women in public service
Recently during the Essence Festival, I had the honor of moderating a panel that delved into the incredible strides made by Black women in television and movie production, law, acting, singing, and other endeavors within the entertainment industry. Attendees received practical advice on how to protect themselves as creators from Courtney Whitaker, Shay M. Lawson, Esq. and Candiace Dillard Bassett. Congresswomen Nikema Williams and Sydney Kamlager spoke passionately about policies they are championing on behalf of artists and how efforts in the arts and public policy can be synergistic. Thanks to the CBC PAC, Rolling Seas Action Fund, and Entergy for such a thoughtful conversation and activations throughout the weekend. Let's continue to celebrate and support the trailblazing Black women who are shaping the culture! #WomenInEntertainment #BlackExcellence #CreativeInnovation #CivicEngagement
