We are proud to announce that Senator Josh Becker from California's 13th State District will share his legislative remarks on affordable healthcare for our webinar tomorrow, "Affordable Healthcare for All: Research and Policy Insights." Senator Becker has been a long advocate for health equity and affordable healthcare. Senator Becker is co-author of California Senate Bill (SB) 1061, which prohibits consumer credit reporting agencies from including information about medical debt in a consumer credit report. SB 1061 was signed into law just a few weeks ago and will go into effect on January 1, 2025, with hopes of alleviating Californians' concerns about negatively impacting their credit score while seeking healthcare.
