Excitement buzzed through the air recently as our Board of Education visited our youngest Jackets at the Calhoun Early Learning Academy (CELA), where the Jacket journey begins. It was great to see our leaders actively involved, sharing joyful moments with our students while enjoying fun games in the Honeycomb Gym. Calhoun City Schools takes pride in its tradition of excellence, fostering a culture that encourages community involvement and inspires all students to become lifelong learners in pursuit of excellence. It's great to be a Yellow Jacket! #CCSHeroes #DiscoverTheHeroWithinYou

“If you don’t know what you want to do if you could do whatever you want, how could you know what you want under constraints?” -Russ Akoff Today my colleagues Jennie W., Aaryn Schmuhl and Doannie Tran brilliantly designed space - hosted by Adrian Epps at the Kennesaw State University Bagwell College of Education - inviting educators from across rural Georgia to step out of their daily routines, leave behind the constraints, and imagine and define a desired state of learning experiences for students and communities. Generating clarity and *specificity* of vision cannot be skipped in leading communities toward innovation and deploying teams to operationalize the dream. Thank you for your partnership Twiggs County Public Schools, Social Circle City Schools, Calhoun City Schools, and Baldwin County School District! We are SOARimg to Support Opportunity and Access in Rural Georgia! I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for students to practice being learning designers and community problem solvers! #DeeperLearning #GaDLN
